Pinhole challenge

Competition Details

Pinhole challenge - Due on 25/11/2006 (can i finish it by then?!)
There are two (2) phases for this competition:

Phase 1: To make the pinhole camera
Phase 2: To use the camera you made for photography

All material will be standardised and they will be provided to you (Stiff Paper & film)*, there will be no difference in material for each of the candidate.
*something changed later, anyone can use their preferred film and paper :-)

Please treat it as a project and try to document everything you did, each of the candidate will have to make a quick presentation (5 mins per candidate).

Judging will be done by the President of CPSA, aka David Fok :-)

Judging consideration
1. The presentation (30%)
2. The camera (20%)
3. The prints (50%)

a. blockage of external lights (sealing at different points), sealing with cloth?/paper?

Blurred vs Sharp; Articificial vs Natural

While a lot of amateur photographers are chasing for sharpness in photos, if we take a look at the advertising pages and the poster of the worldly brands, like agnes b, what we see are out-of-focus images (and/or) motion blurs etc., which deviates exactly oppositely to the road to sharpness.
what does it mean to u?
